zipt help
How do I end a block early?
Usually you cannot: once a block starts, it runs to its time. That is the default, and it is the point of zipt. Two exceptions, if you set them up between blocks:
- The wait (chosen in Settings, Your way out): tap End early on the lock screen. zipt waits first, and the lock stays on while it counts: 2 minutes the first time, then 10, 30 and 60 for each early end in the last 7 days. You can cancel the wait.
- Someone holds your codes: ask them for one. Hold the clock on the lock screen for 5 seconds, type the 8-digit code, and the block ends. Each code works once.
What if there is an emergency?
Calls always work, including emergency calls. Tap Phone on the lock screen and dial 112 (or your local emergency number). Nothing about a block can stop a call.
What still works during a block?
Phone calls, the apps you allowed before the block (their buttons are on the lock screen), and Close background apps, which opens your recent apps for 30 seconds so you can swipe them closed.
Can I get messages or OTPs during a block?
Only if the app that shows them was allowed before the block. Open zipt between blocks and tap Allowed on Home to choose them.
Why can't I open Settings or uninstall zipt during a block?
Because a block could otherwise be switched off from there. zipt brings the lock screen back when Settings opens. Between blocks, Settings and uninstalling work normally.
A banking app will not open. Why?
Some banking apps refuse to open while any app's accessibility service is on. zipt cannot change what they check. Between blocks, open zipt's Settings, find Banking apps, and tap Pause zipt's service. Turn it back on from Home before your next block.
A scheduled block did not start. What went wrong?
Check Home: the schedule should show when it is next (a schedule under 5 minutes does not run), Exact alarms should be allowed, and Battery saving should be off for zipt. On Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo and similar phones, also allow Autostart.
Does zipt read my screen or messages?
No. During a block it looks only at the name of the app in front, to bring the lock screen back. It never reads what is on the screen, stores nothing it saw, and has no internet permission. Details are in the privacy policy.
Can someone end my block from far away?
No. zipt has no internet connection, so nobody, including Radheya, can unlock your phone remotely.
How do I contact Radheya?
Email hello@radheya.in. We reply 9 am to 9 pm, every day. During a block, write from another device: email is not reachable on the locked phone.
Still stuck?
